Retail is Growing...Just Not as a Primary Point of Purchase

So I have seen allot of research recently speaking to the rise of millennial interest in shopping and as many lamenting the reduction of the retail point of purchase. How can both seemingly conflicting things be true? Because consumers want toparticipate with each other through interaction using products but they have to view purchase as essentially a commodity. Want proof? The biggest baddest retailer of them all is coming to a mall near you.
